The A.A. Degree in Elementary Teacher Education is intended for students who plan to complete a bachelorโ€™s degree at a transfer institution in preparation for a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Most students pursue this credential with the goal of becoming an elementary school or special education teacher.

 

Program Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this program a student will be able to:

๐Ÿ—ธ Clarify and articulate career goals of becoming a teacher.

๐Ÿ—ธ Demonstrate a basic grasp of the disciplines most commonly taught in elementary schools in California, including physical science, biology, art, and literature in a cultural or geographic context, world geography, United States history, and United States government.

๐Ÿ—ธ Transfer into the traditional Liberal Studies major.
