The Cardiovascular Technician/Echocardiography program prepares students to hold positions as cardiac sonographers, echocardiography technicians, cardiovascular technicians in a medical center, cardiology office, or health center. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national registry examinations: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International(CCI).

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

🗸 Perform the technical skills necessary to fulfill the role of cardiac sonographer.
🗸 Communicate effectively with patients and members of the healthcare team according to employer expectations and standards for an entry-level position in cardiac ultrasound.
🗸 Apply the knowledge and skills required of various national registry examinations for certification.
