Job Description
A Manufacturer’s Representative, also known as a Manufacturer's Sales Representative or Manufacturer's Agent, is an independent sales professional or firm that represents one or more manufacturers and sells their products to customers, retailers, distributors, or other businesses.
Job Responsibilities
- Generate leads, identify new sales opportunities, and cultivate relationships with potential customers to promote and sell the manufacturer's products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs, providing support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop a deep understanding of the manufacturer's products, features, and benefits to effectively communicate and demonstrate them to customers.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, providing valuable insights to manufacturers for product development and marketing strategies.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of the manufacturer's products to potential customers.
- Process orders accurately, manage inventory levels, and coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to secure profitable deals while meeting their needs and expectations.
- Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports to manufacturers, offering insights and recommendations for improving sales strategies and achieving targets.
